Brent Beard is a third-generation engineer with over 30 years of direct experience in protective product development and manufacturing. He began in industrial chemical manufacturing in 1993 and advanced through every level, from plant operations to executive leadership and ownership.

He has led the development and manufacture of hundreds of protective products supporting:

U.S. military and defense programs

Law enforcement and homeland security

Critical infrastructure and select private-sector entities 

Built on decades of real-world experience, Brent’s work is guided by a simple, uncompromising principle: systems and equipment must perform when failure is not an option. His background spans specialized security services, ownership of multiple security companies, private military contracting, and more than 35 years teaching close-quarters battle and defensive tactics. These high-stakes environments demand absolute reliability—and they reveal weaknesses quickly.

A lifelong martial artist and dedicated student of combative disciplines, Brent has spent decades studying how tools, materials, and systems behave under stress. That experience provides firsthand understanding of survivability, failure points, and what actually works when conditions are unpredictable and unforgiving.

Alongside that operational background is decades of hands-on manufacturing and product development. Every design is shaped by practical engineering, field-driven insight, and a relentless focus on durability, function, and simplicity.

He continues to refine that work through ongoing research, technical study, including coursework through MIT OpenCourseWare and constant hands-on development. The result is systems, equipment and innovation built the old-fashioned way: tested, proven, and designed to work in the real world.
